United States
The United States belong to the world's largest nations, together with Russia, Canada and China. The coastal plain of the Atlantic seaboard gives way further inland to vast forests and rolling hills, and the Appalachian Mountains divide the eastern seaboard from the Great Lakes and the grasslands of the Midwest. The Rocky Mountains extend north to south across the country, reaching altitudes higher than 4'300 meters in Colorado, and including the volcanic Yellowstone National Park. The United States has the most ecoregions out of any country in the world and includes most climate types.
